Please be informed that MillionTECH sponsors Sowers Action "Challenging 12-hours" for third consecutive years by providing them 15pcs of 2D barcode handheld scanner DENSO BHT-304QB and 2000pcs of wristband (with 2D barcode containing participant data) for tackling purpose.  The company will tailor-make a program and upload it to the handheld for capturing the arrival time of each participant when they pass through the checkpoints. 

MillionTECH proposed to use 2D barcode this year because 2D barcodes contain more information than conventional one-dimensional barcodes and they make use of the vertical dimension to pack in more data.  2D barcode is more efficient than one-dimensional barcode in scanning.

The event will be held on 21 October 2007 at Wilson Trail Section 3 to 8 this year.  All participants are required to combat in a 42km portion of the Wilson Trail beginning in Yau Tong and ending in Tai Po within 12 hours.  The expected participants are 2,000.  Sowers Action that is a registered, non-religious, non-political and non-profit-making charity organization founded in Hong Kong in 1992 is organizing a 12-hour marathon to raise funds to help students in rural China.
