MillionTech brought new experience on 2D, RFID & Mobile Technologies in ICT Expo 2008 

The four days International ICT Expo 2008 held by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council was come to perfection on 17 April 2008. Various 2D Barcode Scanning System, RFID Asset Tracking System and Mobile Technology were demonstrated during the exhibition and hundred of local and overseas buyers were attracted to visit MillionTECH at booth 5H13 in Hall 5.

1. RFID Asset Tracking System

The adoption of RFID in Hong Kong is progressing and it can be widely used in Manufacturing, Logistics and Retail area. The company has showcased  the CSL UHF Gen 2 RFID Reader, PSION TEKLOGIX UHF and HF handheld terminals and varies RFID Tags for different applications etc. that are the new generation RFID solution for Asset Control Management.

The CSL CS-461 is an intelligent RFID reader at UHF frequency, carries with extremely high inventory rate, read rate and tag velocity with true dense read mode; It can be well equipped in retail industry, such as the Jewelry Shop, while large quantity of Jewelries that carry with RFID tags can be read simultaneously, thereby streamlining stock- management process and optimizing the Inventory Control Management at a relatively lower cost.

2. 2D Barcode Scanning System
Quick Response (QR Code) is a matrix two-dimensional bar code, which allows different types of data and thousand characters (Up to 7,089 characters) to be encoded in one symbol and be easily interpreted by scanner equipment. Today, QR Codes can be displayed on the LCD of mobile phones that facilitating the various payment methods required with the increase in Internet shopping, online ticket reservations etc.

The DENSO QK-11 is a new generation fixed-type multi-scanner designed for reading QR codes and barcodes from a mobile phone’s LCD or any other portable LCD device. It can be applied for Electronic Coupon & Member Card, Electronic Ticketing, Electronic Payment, Magazine Promotion and Cellular Phone Check-in.

The DENSO BHT-304QB is ideal for retail, logistics and warehousing environment. The terminal is lightweight for easy and high speed scanning. It passes IEC International Standards Protection Class IP54 for reliably protection against water and dust, high standard of drop resistance at 1.5m onto a concrete floor. The Advanced Scanning Technology features with wide scanning range that allows multiple QR codes to be scanned simultaneously. The BHT304QWB is with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi interface for real-time data communication within the working environment. The device can be connected with a portable label printer by Bluetooth interface. The system device is currently applied by the Hospital Authority for just-in-time patient identification and job recording. Nurses can verify patient’s ID though the use of barcode technology that can reduce error in the process of blood transfusion or medicine distribution etc.

The DENSO BHT-280QB-CE is superior for reading both 1D / 2D Codes. The versatile reading function allows multiple codes to be read simultaneously. The device is especially ideal for warehouse and retail environment as the additional battery in the grip enables long lasting operation (max. 14 hours). It posses with drop resistant from 1.2m onto concrete and sealed against water and dust to IP54 international standard. More, the large LCD monitor allows easy application by warehouse users. 

 
3. Mobile Technology
Mobile technology provides the most advanced hand-held data collection solution for many different environments including retail, warehouse and logistics.

The CASIO DT-X7 is a voice-based Guidance Handheld Terminal. It is lightweight and is designed with Human-Centred Design for easy and comfortable scanning. The device is certified for ISO 13407 standard with Wireless Communications Option though Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It is dust and splash-proof (IP54 level compliant with IEC60529 standard); Shock resistant from 1m to concrete. The lightweight and artistic design is especially ideal for retail environment.

The CASIO IT-600 Series is a rugged, water and dust resistant mobile computer with an integrated high-speed laser scanner, large LCD screen and digital camera. The PDA Terminal can read both 1D/2D barcodes with long operation time, which is adaptable in varies business environment. Data formats are in terms of text (written report), image/picture, voice-memo, or handwriting record and be able to transfer though GPRS, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth Communication Technologies.
